Stuff and other stuff

I'm back in America, everybody. Back to booze and television and lots of noise and one very angry cat.

The wife-beating guy decided he'd rather keep sleeping on a mattress on the floor in his dining room than sell his house for a reasonable price, so we continue to search for a place to live. This week I believe we are expanding the search to Pasadena.

In the meantime, if you haven't heard from Creative Screenwriting yet about your Open entry, you're not alone. On their website it still says if you haven't heard by yesterday to check this website. I haven't heard by yesterday but the website still says to check the website. I turned my scene in Sunday evening, but I forgot to include a title page so maybe that's the problem. I know others have also not received their scores yet.

I sort of feel like I ordered a salad but I'm sitting here at the table watching everybody else eat their salads. When that salad finally gets here it better have enough dressing on it.

Montana and house hunting got me stalled out on the script, but I will resume writing immediately, and by the end of the week I should have a first draft.

In the meantime, Zombieland everybody. Zombieland.

Have you considered the Hollywood Hills, too? Pasadena is sooooo far.

  2. If I had like a bazillion dollars. Actually if I had a bazillion dollars I'd live on a yacht and putter around Europe in a luxury yacht.

I'm not thrilled with Pasadena, but it is about as far from my job as NoHo, which is the other major place we're looking, and the houses are really nice.

  3. Don't fret too much on the CSOpen. My wife and I both submitted entries on Sunday night about 30 minutes apart; she received her score the next day and mine still hasn't surfaced.

I'm guessing there was contest overload.

    Best of luck!

  4. I think I read somewhere they had like 2,000 entries, so I guess it makes sense they had some trouble.

It would be cool if they updated their shit, though.

    Good luck with your entry.

  5. They've updated: says to contact them if you don't get a score tomorrow. I talked to Jim tonight and he seemed pretty calm. BULLSHIT SOMEBODY ALREADY SCORED A 97.
    Bullshit.
Why not just take the first three entries and save all that reading?

  6. Yeah but today's 97 isn't necessarily the same person who'll have a great score when he only has 90 minutes.

What did you get? I liked your drama very much.

  7. Wendy and I have both now received scores. Slightly disappointed, but optimistic - Wendy came back with 94, Wayne with 93. Good comments from the judges though!

    Best of luck to all,

    Wendy and Wayne

  8. Hey those are good scores.

I think last year the cutoff was something like 90-91, Vanilla Chunk would know better than I would. The year before I believe it was an 89.

But that's with fewer people and less time.
