Please stand by

Know why the California education system is in the toilet? Because we're all too buried in paperwork and taking stupid pointless classes to do our jobs.

I might be about to lose my job because I forgot to cross a goddamn T somewhere in 2005.

Sorry to hear you're having problems Emily - hope all works out for you. If it's any consolation, I teach as well and the eduacation system in California doesn't sound to different to England in that respect - red tape and beaurocracy all the way.

Hey Emily,
I go through this at least 3 times a year. Since I'm freelance writer and part time another job(which I cannot name).

Just have a back up plan and review your savings and network.

I got used to it. It's a big country. Good things happen to those who work hard and think positive.

man I fucking hope not. I hope you don't lose your job.

Emily, don't give up.

The trick is stay POSTIVE and do
not become BITTER.

Being BITTER and NEGATIVE leads bad vibes and people will ignore you and not take you seriously.

So if you are POSTIVE and NOT BITTER, your new employer will see this and give you a job.

I have a script coverage business growing by leaps and bounds. I only hire POSTIVE writers and readers and I do not hire NEGATIVE and BITTER people. It's not good for the long term business networking.

Unfortunately my job has absolutely nothing to do with anything other than what I look like on paper. I am a number in a file. And right now that file is missing pieces.

Emily,

Sorry to hear about your job issues.

My sis is a Cal HS teacher, so I can understand your frustration with BS red tape. She teaches classes that are district required, but not college required. Each semester brings new parents/other teachers/admin who challenge the value of her courses.

Keep us posted!

ah, sheesh!
and you're an ace, pal! I've heard you talk about teaching- you rock their lives. Hang in, they'll find the paperwork. Call me.

I'll call you. It's not about finding the paperwork, though. It's about nobody ever telling me I had to take a bunch of classes I haven't taken.

Today sucks and I still won't know until Tuesday if I have a job.
