I really want to see Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, but I want to see The Expendables more. Rotten Tomatoes means nothing to me today. I am turning off my brain and on my awesome meter.
Whenever I go to see films of this nature, I always check to see how many other girls there are in the theater, and how many I think are there because they want to be. We are out there, people. Hiding, lusting after Jason Statham and Jet Li and kind of wishing we could kick somebody in the face and get away with it.
So I will watch Scott Pilgrim next weekend. This weekend belongs to my boys.
What movie are you chomping at the bit to see?

Scott Pilgrim is terrific. I don't know how it'll hold up on repeat viewings but while I was watching it I was having a great time and I have no problem recommending it.
ReplyDeleteI'll see The Expendables. But I just know it's going to be bad. And I know there are people around the net who are like, "It's going to be terrible! I can't wait! But I say if I'm going to see some kind of Dirty Dozen knockoff I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting to see a good, fun action movie, even if it does contain a bunch of wrestlers I don't really care about. Also, I still kind of wish Van Damme was in it.
So next on the list is The Wrong Guys, which I wasn't able to get to last weekend. Sly's gonna have to wait.
For some unexplainable reason I'm really excited to see Piranha 3D.
ReplyDeleteI think it has something to do with the image of Richard Dreyfus floating around in that rowboat from the trailer. It conjures up such fuzzy feelings of Matt Hooper and Jaws for me.

I still didn't see Inception... so I have to decide between this and Expendables this weekend.
ReplyDeleteJust caught your blog. Wonderful stuff. Very cool and friendly and very professional and catty..
ReplyDeleteI will catch Expendables on DVD cause Stallone was or is never a good film diretor. Stalone should ask Tarantino to direct.
Good stuff.

I saw "The Other Guys" last night. It gets a solid B+ / A-
ReplyDeleteI didn't laugh continuously, but sometimes the jokes were so pointed I had to smile because that takes HUMOR.
Also - Mark Walberg will always be adorable to me. Even more so when he's practicing his comedic skills...which are getting better every day.
Agreed. That stuff with The Rock and Sam Jackson had me in stitches, though. The rest of the movie didn't quite live up to the beginning, but it was still funny.
