Read a book

From now on when I have to teach a lesson on life skills I'm just going to show this video. It says all there really is to say.

    Actually I think this is a pretty brilliant video. It carries with it this sense of frustration and anger that kids are making bad choices, but it does it in a language they understand.

    And it's catchy.

    I also learned today that this video caused a lot of controversy in the black community because it implies that black kids are all big losers. I think people have missed the message. It's okay to sing a song about bitches and ho's but not about reading books? It's basically a satire.
